COVID-19 Guidelines — Important, Please Read
Safety guidelines, policies and class times will be constantly evaluated and adjusted as needed.
COVID-19 Liability Waiver
Please understand that despite all the precautions that you, other members, and/or Cynergy CrossFit may take, we cannot guarantee your health or safety, and you may still be exposed to COVID-19, including through interactions with other individuals who have COVID-19. By gaining access to the facility, you, on behalf of yourself, your heirs, beneficiaries, representatives, successors and assigns: (1) voluntarily assume all risks associated with any exposure to COVID-19, including, but not limited to suffering any type of medical condition, illness and, potentially, death; and (2) knowingly and voluntarily waive, release, covenant not to sue, forever discharge, indemnify, and hold harmless Cynergy CrossFit, its parents and subsidiaries and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (“Released Parties”) from any and all liability, damages, losses, suits, demands, causes of action to the fullest extent permitted by the laws of this state, or any other claims of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating in any way to your use of the facility and your potential exposure to COVID-19.
PLEASE STAY HOME IF:
- You have a fever over 99.4 Fahrenheit or feel as though you have a fever if no thermometer is available. Have a cough, shortness of breath, other flu like symptoms or been exposed to someone that may have COVID-19.
- You have travelled out of the state. You may be required to self-quarantine for 14 days before returning to the gym. Please visit mass.gov for current travel restrictions.
If a MEMBER tests POSITIVE FOR COVID-19:
Please notify Cindy - ASAP!
This will trigger:
1. Closing the gym for 24 hours, if a member attended class within 24 hours of being tested
2. Notifying the membership that we have a member who tested positive (no names will be given)
3. Thoroughly disinfecting the gym
If a COACH tests POSITIVE FOR COVID-19:
This will trigger:
1. Membership being notified that a coach has tested positive. The coach's name will be provided.
2. Gym will close for 24 hours if coach has coached within the last day.
MASKS
All athletes must wear a mask. Masks are required everywhere outside of your workout box where a 6 foot distance cannot be met.
TEMP CHECK & HAND WASHING
All athletes must meet with the coach for a temp check, go wash their hands then head to their designated workout station one by one. We will have 3 sanitizer stations as well.
NO BAGS
No bags can be brought into the box. Please carry what you need with you.
NO SHARING
NO Sharing of chalk, ropes, equipment, etc. I suggest you buy some liquid chalk and bring it with you when you think you will may need it. Also, anything you have to keep track of your rounds, reps, etc. No chalk on the floor please!! 🙂
EXCEPTION: You may share your equipment if you are sharing a space with someone from the same household.
14 FEET APART
The inside workout areas are set up 14ft apart. Each area will have a red mat, any equipment you may need and a spray bottle and clean towel.
CLEANING RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for cleaning your equipment and mat. We ask that you please do any floor work (burpees, push ups, situps, etc) on the red mat so that it is easier for us to clean the floor in between classes. Extra weights will be set up in 2 stations on either side of the box.
30 MINUTES BETWEEN CLASSES
There is a 30-minute break between classes to allow us to further sanitize the area and to eliminate the crossover of athletes between classes.
SIGN-UP REQUIRED
We will still require a sign up for class via SignUp Genius. Look for Cynergy CrossFit Class Sign Ups. Any issues, please contact Cynthia Brown at cynthia@cynergycrossfit.com or 617-962-0257.
EXCEPTION: Sign-ups are not required for the 4-Week Training Sessions for Kids & Teens, however registration is required for these programs.
AVAILABILITY
We will have 11 available spaces inside which includes the coach. So, we will be listing 10 sign up spaces for each class with room for 5 more outside spaces weather permitting.
OUTSIDE / WAITLIST
Please list your preference in the comments section when you sign up, especially if you are planning on working out outside. If it rains, we will do our best to accommodate all athletes inside. NOTE: Those on the Outside/Waitlist will be dropped first.
