Lonnie grew up In Easton MA, played football, baseball and weight training in high school.

He attended Dean Jr. College from 1982-84 earning an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. In 1998 he attended Western New England College earning a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice.

He entered the New Hampshire State Police Academy in 1986 and worked in Concord NH from 1986-87. He transferred to the Easton Police Department in 1987 where he is in his 26th year.

He played indoor and outdoor soccer for 10 years. Achieved a third degree brown belt in judo and participated in sprint triathlons and placed second in the New England Law Enforcement Games.

He heard about CrossFit from a friend and registered a team in the First Responder Challenge in 2010. After working out in conventional gyms for 27 years he found that CrossFit was the most challenging and fulfilling workout program he had ever experienced.

In 2011 he qualified for the CrossFit Games in the 45-49 masters division. He placed 20th worldwide in the Opens to qualify for the games in Carson, California. He earned his place as 6th in the world at the CrossFit Games.  Read his post about the Games.

He qualified again in 2015, placing 14th overall in the Master Qualifier for the 50-54 age division.

Along with a great workout philosophy, he feels CrossFit also provides an awesome supportive community.
