When my husband Keith introduced me to “Angie” back in 2004 I was blown away! It was right then and there I thought how do we get involved with this CrossFit thing?
Reflecting on these past 15+ years of being a CrossFit coach, athlete and owner has brought back so many incredible memories!
I am honored to get to do this everyday! With a great team of dedicated coaches, Cynergy has been given this incredible opportunity to inspire, encourage, support and literally change lives! Does it get any better than that?
We are not without challenges and hardships but we push through them and we get better because of them. The way this community rallied through the past 2 years of COVID is testament to the fact that we needed this more than we realized. It became a common ground in unfamiliar territory. We became stronger, gained more clarity of what we were here to do and I will never take that for granted.
Holding this space has been a gift. Being given the opportunity to be part of something so much bigger than what I ever imagined. I am truly humbled but it all.
Weddings, funerals, babies, graduations, competitions, rallying behind those who need our help, supporting those who have no voice, sharing laughter and a whole lot of love. These are friendships that will last a life-time. People that come from so many different walks of life that may never have had the opportunity to meet one another. What an incredible common ground this CrossFit community has created.
I will never tire of the stories from parents about the positive impact Cynergy has made on the confidence and self-esteem of their children, watching athletes with unique challenges and capabilities demand more of their body and mind, seeing 3 generations of athletes working out together and the compassion and drive of a community to push through a pandemic and continue to thrive, bringing out parts of humanity that I am truly honored to be a part of.
It is my goal to continue to add to this legacy of empathy, encouragement, inclusivity, respect, friendship and compassion… a drive to continue to create something greater — something that forever improves the world.
Thank you seems like such a simple sentiment to the enormous amount of gratitude I have for this community of athletes and coaches. As a team we can accomplish great things and I look forward to continuing to grow, push boundaries and achieve more than imaginable with all of you!
Happy 15th Cynergy!!
